The Maintenance Shop (M-Shop) hosts many shows throughout the year and is as iconic today as it was in 1974. ISU students who are members of Student Union Board (SUB) provide much of the work and leadership necessary to keep performances running in the space. In addition to booking nationally touring artists, the M-Shop today hosts many of SUB's multicultural and theatrical performances, including the popular improv group Grand Mojo's, Open Mic Nights, and comedy shows. Come and see live entertainment like never before with the best seats you could ever imagine.

Celebrating 50 Years
The Maintenance Shop opened in 1974, and now, 50 years later, the iconic stained-glass window still casts its orange glow behind the stage. January 2024 marked the 50th anniversary of the M-Shop, where some of the greatest music legends and underground up-and-comers have performed. Beyond the music scene, you'll also find comedians, improv and open mic nights gracing the M-Shop stage today. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this iconic venue.
